I recorded one, then deleted it by mistake. The other two times we tried, we ended up just shooting the shit instead.
#PODPROBLEMZ
Granted, the recorded one I has absolutely zero knowledge of UCI so my input was essentially 'He's probably pretty shit and needs to change everything about his character' about every character. Even though I had never read them.

So my question is this: what is it you enjoy about tearing down people, their characters, and their work?

I think people misunderstand the sense of humor both Chris and I have as well as how we go at these podcasts.
You need to understand that while we're "ourselves", we both basically act as caricatures of ourselves and tend to exaggerate or be outright dishonest about our true opinions for the sake of amusement. Anyone who knows Chris or I outside of UCI will tell you that we're good people who have absolutely no malicious intentions or desire to hurt anyone's feelings. In fact, if you look back at the WCF podcast you'll notice we would go out of our way to say absolutely nothing about people we had legitimate gripes with. The podcast is not a platform for Chris and I to shit down on everyone beneath us; it's entertainment.
Our sense of humor tends to be rather sharp. If you read any of Chris's RPs or anything I wrote as Jared, you can see that sense of humor reflected. If you were to see the sort of conversations Chris and I have, as well as several others here who tend to be labeled "jerks", you'll see we go at each other as much as anyone. Call it "insult comedy", a "good cop-bad cop" routine, even a farcical take at popular talk radio, but please don't think that we get our kicks by legitimately insulting anyone. Anyone we take jabs at, we take with good humor hoping they'll understand accordingly. I understand that this can feel muddled or that the line between fact and fiction is blurred due to the legitimate commentary we do provide, but I fully attest that all ribbing is meant in a friendly manner.

Did I miss something? Was the podcast posted?

I've not been called a "jerk" in a while...
"Cunt" seem to be the shining consensus these days >_>
I think it's all about skin-depth and perception. Try to think of Chris as Flash and Michael as Jared. If you haven't really spoken to either OOC or off the boards then it's easy to take things as insults when they're just meant as playful jabs. I've been on one of these in the past and it was good fun, don't think it was ever meant as a direct stab at anybody, the only thing that used to be just flat out mean (all-be-it hilarious) was the let's rip the shit out of a historical sign-up that never posted again. It's like shoot-writing... for your ears. I miss these though, get your asses in gear and get one done.
Also: I'd just like to clear up the fact that being British doesn't make you a bellend, being English makes you a bellend =P
*ducks bricks thrown from Crow and Flash*
Turns out you can be British and still be cool as fuck. They just don't free-folk below the wall.

Andre: Gemini made this thread sarcastically.
David can seriously attest here. Without bringing up too much personal history, there was one joke we made that seriously hurt his feelings, and he'll tell you how hard I fought to keep him as a friend. If anyone is ever hurt or upset with anything we say talk to us. We'll cut that shit out; we've never been unreasonable to that request. And above all, we never think our jokes will be taken seriously. We take pains to make sure any legitimate commentary is seriously presented, free of insults, and always constructive.

It's wierd. When they say nice things it's usually genuine. When they say mean things it's usually not true. When they don't say anything is when you should be worried. It means they don't like it or more likely haven't been paying attention to your character.

To Gemini. Oh, and by the way. If it wasn't 930 and my kids were sleeping I would have literally laughed out loud. Instead I laughed silently for a while.

When they don't say anything ... It means they don't like it or more likely haven't been paying attention to your character. This is completely on point. We do not comment on things we know nothing about, though I try to keep up-to-date on as many people as possible. That's not to say we don't occasionally give negative criticism, but when we do, it's never treated in a joking or insulting manner. For example: our comments about the DRG segments and story during WCF Trios last year was that there were too many segments per show and the storyline really only involved the DRG and no one else, which we felt would be best served as parts of RP promos rather than segments on the show. If we legitimately hate something or have personal problems with someone, we say as little as possible; it's the old saying "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything." I speak for both of us when I say we have little desire to muckrake or stir drama.
