Well, apparently it is white trash week here at UCI as I look set to defend my Television against Chris Cane ...I think. Syxx has been following his twitter for a while and seems as if he succumbed to an injury or at least that is what he said early in the week. I don't know what is going on with him and I typically would not care. However, in this special case, I have found his behavior quite insulting towards my title and my amazing reign as Television champion thus far. You see, Mr. Cane has been given a title opportunity he does not deserve; one he did not earn. Nothing he has done has stood out within the company since joining. He is being bestowed this privilege to challenge against one of the hottest acts going in UCI right now; he has the opportunity to take down a member of the Syndicate. Now, he wouldn't be able to do ANY of that, but he is being handed something that others at his level would KILL for.
How does he re-pay this show of goodwill?
AS WE SPEAK ...he is on twitter brokering a deal with some other wrestling company and talking about laying out on the beaches of Florida with somebody named Ari. So much for that injury, right? You know, ever since I joined UCI, I have heard nothing but criticism and slander towards myself as a performer. People have said I do not care about wrestling or I am just getting by on my good looks or all of my hardwork is because of The Syndicate. They say that, but yet you have this “GOOD OL' BOY” traditional wrassler come in here talking about lacing up his boots and working his way up the ladder only to be sipping margaritas as he gets a tan on the beach when he has a once in a lifetime opportunity ahead of him. Yet, people call me lazy or vain or question my integrity as a performer DESPITE having never lost a match in UCI; DESPITE having successfully defended my title against a man who was DESPERATE to be SOMETHING in this industry. Do you know how insulting that is? To work hard, day in and day out only to be told “you are JUST T and A with no other redeemable quality.” Yes, I admit it, a big part of who I am is because I understand that I am super awesomely hot and know how to flaunt it, but that does not mean that I cannot back any of that up because clearly I can. Meanwhile, the PURE wrestler decides that wrestling and a fucking title shot are not as important as getting a tan on the beach ...but he is never accused of sloth or being lazy.
It is a terrible sexist double standard that is being presented here and, feminist that I am, tend to stop it in perhaps the easiest defense.
That was rattling through my brain as got off the plain to meet Syxx at the airport terminal. Honestly, that is about as much as I wanted to dedicate any of my time to Mr. Cane. If he wasn't going to show me respect by treating this TITLE match as important, I was not going to waste precious mind energy on him. After all there was an even more annoying spec of a human buzzing around my title and he was probably more indignant than my good buddy Shadowlove. While Mr. Jackson if you are nasty is going to meet the same fate of Shadowlove, he certainly earned the right for me to take him as a serious threat which he is. That doesn't necessarily mean that he deserves the match, just that people as envious as him do serve as a threat to those of us who can win matches all the time. Even then, he is a matter for another day as next week will be when I have to focus on crushing his aspiration of being “the guy” to do the impossible.
I held my title proudly over my shoulder as made my way throughout the terminally. I walked proudly towards my next defense and my future in UCI.
