UCI.com was shocked this morning to hear that one of its fact-finders had failed to report to work.
Upon investigation, the young man was found admitted to a local hospital with a fractured jaw and several missing personal items, including his UCI security badge.
The man in question, who wishes to remain anonymous, was visiting the hospital to check up on the condition of UCI roster member Teddy Sol. Unfortunately, Sol could not be reached for comment as he had already checked out of the hospital when the reporter arrived.
Sol had been admitted for several injuries, including a severe concussion. Doctors reported his recovery time as 'miraculous'
While nothing is known at the moment, UCI has granted the anonymous reporter medical leave. Our hearts and thoughts go out to him, and we hope you will join us in wishing for a swift recovery.
More on this story as it develops.
