The scene opens with a camera crew and interviewer waiting for the two former #beachkrew members, Dustin Beaver and Kyle Kemp, to return to the back after the conclusion of their match. Kemp is the first one to reach the waiting UCI duo. Kyle puts his hand up to his face.
Kyle Kemp: “No comment.”
Just after Kemp makes it clear that he has no desire to be interviewed by anyone, Beavs makes his way past the two media employees and it is very obvious that he is in a foul mood. Before the interviewer can even mutter out a word as she lifts her microphone, Dustin shouts out a fiery comment.
Dustin Beaver: “Get that fucking camera out of my face, NOW!”
The camera turns to face the poor, hapless interviewer once again as Beavs continues his now accelerated walk to his dressing room. Upon reaching his dressing room, the Great Beaver quickly opens his door and slams it shut as hard as he possibly could. As the sound of the slammed door reverberated around the room, Dustin falls on to the bench in the middle of the room and he sits there with his head down. For the first time in his wrestling career, Dustin Beaver felt truly defeated. Even when he had lost his SeaV title in his previous organization, he had kept hope alive that he would get his belt back just as quickly as he lost it. Even after he wasn’t able to regain the belt, he had felt confident enough in his performance then that he knew he would rebound and be on the hunt for greater things. Now here he was, in a brand new organization, an established wrestler looking to make an immediate splash and he had lost his first two matches. Beavs looked up and shook his head; he didn’t know what he could have done differently in either match he came up short in to pull off the win. Dustin was happy with his training, he was happy with his conditioning, shit, he was happy with everything except for the results. And while he was never going to doubt the power of Beavlieving, he noticed that it was hard to keep up with the cocky attitude when he wasn’t getting the wins to back it up. Beaver puts his head down and takes a deep breath, closing his eyes as he does so. He exhales, searching his mind for a sense of calm. Dustin’s life always seemed to revolve around chaos; whether it was in a wrestling ring or the lifestyle he chose for himself to live, it was constantly one crazy ass thing after another. Beavs opens his eyes; he decides then and there in that moment that his life would be different this week. No going out to the clubs and boozing it up, no bringing home random skanks to plow, no throwing insane house parties, none of that shit. As he quickly packs up his gear, Beaver comes up with a quick game plan in his mind of what he wants to do for the upcoming week. He then grabs his things and exits The Warehouse, leaving the thought of wrestling behind him for the time being.
Monday May 30th, 2:35 pm
Dustin Beaver has arrived back in Toronto a couple of hours prior and has made sure to visit his home to make sure everything is still in order. After seeing that everything is still intact, Beavs heads out to his first stop. The Toronto Zen Centre wasn’t a normal place to visit for Dustin, hell he isn’t even Buddhist, but he is ready and willing to give it a shot this week. As Beaver walks through the front door, he immediately notices how quiet the place is. No people screaming and shouting, no people cheering and booing, no sounds of fists and feet impacting flesh, just pure silence. Dustin has done a little research before going to the Centre so he knows that he is in appropriate clothing and what he should be expecting to see and do. After a quick guided tour from an employee of the Centre, Beavs makes his way into the main meditation room, and crossing his legs, he sits on one of the cushions as close to the Buddha statue in the room as he can get. Beaver stares at the Buddha for a moment and he mutters under his breath.
DB: “What does this fat bastard have that I don’t? I bet this big asshole can win a damn match.”
Dustin realizes that negative thoughts are again flooding his mind and he quickly shakes his head to free himself of the contemplations. He knows that thinking this way will only ruin his attempts at finding peace with himself this week, so he closes his eyes and tries to think of happy thoughts. As the Supreme Beavliever clears his mind of negativity, he thinks of nice things, like boobs and liquor. Beaver smiles and holds back a chuckle, as he doesn’t want to interrupt the other meditators, and he continues his “deep” thought. As his mind continues to wander his happy place, the thought of him holding up the UCI World Title in the middle of the ring enters his brain. Beavs studies his face, there are tears in his eyes, and he knows that this is a moment of pure euphoria for him. Dustin then focuses on the crowd, he sees people cheering and shouting his name, wanting him to be their champion. Beaver then tries to the focus in on his opponent lying defeated on the mat. As he tries to sharpen the image in his mind, Beavs realizes that the harder he tries to see this figure, the more he can’t figure out who it is. As he thinks about whom this mystery person is that he defeated for the title, he remembers that this isn’t a vision of the future. For all he knows, that person could be someone who isn’t even in UCI yet, it could literally be anyone. The ‘A-ha’ moment hits Dustin like a truck, it doesn’t matter who the hell that defeated person is in the ring. What matters is him holding that world title, people recognizing that Dustin Beaver is the best wrestler in the entire world. Beavs refocuses on himself, his arm holding up the title, the look of triumph glowing from his face. The more he looks at himself in this vision, the more the Great Beaver wants to be this version of him. In that moment, Beaver didn’t care about anyone else or what they were capable of, he just wants to do everything in his power to make sure he is the best version of himself, so that if anyone dared challenge him, he would be able to dispatch his foe by barely lifting a finger. Dustin’s eyes then shoot wide open, he looks around his serene backdrop for a moment, as he adjusts to the real world once again. Once he feels normal again, Beavs stands up and heads for the restroom. After getting to the restroom, Beaver walks over to the sink and splashes water on his face. He then looks in the mirror in front of him, studying his still handsome but noticeably weathering features. Dustin realizes that he needs to turn his focus to taking better care of himself or he’ll be guiding himself to an early grave. Beavs knows he had always cared more about what other people had going on than what he wanted to or should be doing a lot of the time. This act Dustin believes stems from his #beachkrew days, where he always wanted to make sure everyone was proud of him, putting his own happiness behind that of his brothers and sister. Beaver stares at himself once more after he dries off his face. This was it; it was time for a change.
DB: “Alright, damn it Beavs, it’s time to do things the right way. We’re going to focus on good things I can do for myself and eliminate all this negative shit that’s clouding my life. If I can successfully do that, there’s nothing stopping me from holding that damn title that I want so badly… and then everyone will know without a doubt that I AM THE Supreme Beavliever!”
Dustin finished up in the restroom and left the Toronto Zen Centre with a little more bounce in his step.

Beaver’s next stop on his list was the Toronto Public Library, a place of quiet reflection and knowledge. He chooses the closest of the many library locations offered to him in the area and makes his way inside the facility. Being at the library makes Dustin laugh as he reminisces about his time in Team BOA with ‘Brilliant’ Benjamin Atreyu and the always scholarly, sometimes pain in the ass, Occulo. The library wasn’t really the old Beaver’s scene, but he knew that to better his prospects in UCI, it wouldn’t hurt to improve his intellectuality. After all, Atreyu is now in a high position of power within UCI and Occulo had made it one step further in the UCI World Champion Tournament than Beavs had. As Dustin was perusing different books about subjects like self-improvement, true inspirational stories and how to overcome obstacles, he realized that he likely would be scheduled for another match the upcoming Sunday. Beaver made his way over to one of the computers and accessed the UCI website, rapidly bringing up the UCI schedule on their excellently designed site. He is relieved to see that he hasn’t been relegated to opening the show and he is intrigued by the singles match that he has been given. Aurora, it isn’t a name he is familiar with, so he decides to do some research on his next adversary. He sees that there isn’t too much information out there about this still mostly mysterious woman, so he decides to watch her opening match from the UCI World Champion Tournament, where she faced Occulo, Demarcus Jordan and Andre Jenson in a fatal four way. Beaver nods and makes the ‘not bad’ face throughout the match, seeing that his still relatively new opponent has some skill. After checking out a few more things, Dustin is satisfied that he has productively spent his time at the library and leaves. It’s a nice warm, sunny day outside as Beavs walks for a while, enjoying the weather before taking a seat on a bench at a nearby park. He stares at the green leaves filling the trees; Dustin thinks everything looks so alive. Beaver pulls his phone out of his pocket and navigates to Google Chrome. He goes to UCI’s website, accessing their media page with his credentials. He makes sure that everything is set up to his satisfaction before beginning.
DB: “Hey there Beavlievers and UCI Universe, it’s your favorite neighborhood Beaver in my lovely home city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.”
Beaver holds his arm up and turns slightly each way, making sure the audience sees the gorgeous back drop.
DB: “Unfortunately this last Sunday, the Great Beaver and Kyle Kemp came up just short against The Guardians, but don’t stop Beavlieving now!”
Dustin still has a look of hope on his face as he continues to speak.
DB: “I’m going to do some strong personal reflection this week about where I’m at in my life. We’re going to eliminate some bad habits and start up some good habits, making sure your Supreme Beavliever stays at the top of his game!”
Beavs points to his head.
DB: “I’ve already done a little meditation today and I was able to envision myself as the champion of UCI, as long as I’m alive and breathing I will NEVER stop Beavlieving that I can be the best wrestler in the world!”
He now stands up, showing the people that he isn’t taking this task sitting down.
DB: “The road to my future success begins this Sunday, June 5th from The Warehouse in Chicago when I take on relative newcomer, Aurora!”
Beaver looks unsure of himself for a moment before he continues.
DB: “Now we’ve only seen this bitc...”
He quickly changes gears.
DB: “…young lady, in one match so far, and while she didn’t win…she um, showed promise. But now on to the bad news for Ms. Aurora.”
Beavs scowls at the camera for a moment, before his face relaxes and he continues.
DB: “I know how to wrestle the females. Whether it’s Bonnie Blue or the huge tittie… I mean, uh, well endowed, Celeste, I’ve proven that I can win the one on one match against the women. That’s one positive trait about the Great Beaver, I’ve always been an equal opportunity ass kicker, I don’t discriminate!”
Dustin looks excited about pointing out a “positive” about himself.
DB: “Also, the winner of the match you were in was Occulo. Well, let’s just say that if you can’t beat him, there’s no way you’re going to best the Beaver. You see, Occulo and I have gone toe to toe on several occasions; I know quite well what he’s capable of and would say that every time we’ve squared off, it’s been an even tilt.”
Beaver appears to be growing in confidence as he speaks.
DB: “At this point in your career, you just aren’t going to be able to beat seasoned vets like him and I, we just know what it takes to be winners and you my dear, haven’t won a match yet, Ms. Aurora.”
He smiles into the camera, less smug and more genuine than his usual smile.
DB: “I’m sure one day you will pick up that win, but the fact of the matter is that I NEED this win, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to get it. Yes, Dustin Beaver will finally be picking up his first win in UCI this Sunday and the Beavlievers will grow exponentially after they see that I still have what it takes to be their leader and guide them to a better future for wrestling. We have a long road in front of us to get back to the top, but I’m willing to put in the work that it takes to get there!”
Beavs throws his free arm up into the air and looks skyward.
DB: “All we have to do is… BEAVLIEVE!”
