According to PWTorch, Aries requested his release because he wasn't happy with his role on 205 Live. He also reportedly had a bad attitude backstage. That doesn't surprise me. Jim Cornette has said in the past that Aries was a negative influence in the ROH locker room, always complaining and just generally being a pessimist. He's also bounced around the big three promotions throughout his career, which I estimate is due to the fact that the guy his never happy no matter where he is and promoters\bookers don't want to deal with him.
