Gonna whip a match up tonight, because of this card being 13 matches, but we will definitely need a lot more match writers than we normally get.

Alright, can you explain what 'match writing' is?

Alright, can you explain what 'match writing' is? Your best bet is to look through results to get an example of how things should flow. Once you select a match to write, you'll head over to the roster boards and look up the profiles of the characters involved -- that'll give you the entrances, stats, and movesets -- and you build the match from there. Google, YouTube, and Wikipedia will be your best friends while you write. (Personally, I like to watch some actual matches before I start writing, to sorta jump start the inspiration process.) It can be a little awkward the first couple of times, but I think you'll get the hang of it quickly. Andre is really good at it, so if you need help, he's probably your best resource... although anybody here is happy to answer questions most of the time.

So.. basically, you're determining the winner of the match, and you'll write what the wrestlers do? (Attacks, etc.)

So.. basically, you're determining the winner of the match, and you'll write what the wrestlers do? (Attacks, etc.) No to the first part, yes to the second. I determine the winners through judging who I feel to have produced the better roleplay that week, but yes, match writing is like writing out an actual wrestling match, helps out with visualization. As Bonnie said, online searching (especially for moves) helps you figure out what you wanna do a lot. You also wanna keep location in mind, so that everything makes sense. Are they wrestling with holds and submissions on the mat? Is someone attempting to go to the top rope for a high risk move? Is someone diving through/over the ropes to surprise attack their opponent on the outside? Of course, there are more visual locations and approaches like this, but it does help. If you decide you wanna get into match writing a bit, let me know and I can bring you into a shared Google doc sometime when we're both online and kinda guide you through the process.
