Fuck it- it's 3:30am... that means it's Saturday now! Which means... early as fuck, but- seems like a decent time for the
JAM OF THE DAY
(Dr. Octagon - Earth People) Album: Dr. Octagonecologyst, 1996
I hate math; y'all probably know all that. But even considering that, there's one equation I hold dear... Kool Keith + Dan the Automator = <3. (Pretty awesome shit happens when you sub Del the Funkee Homosapien out for Keith, too... but that's another Jam for another Day, *for sure*.)

JAM OF THE DAY
(Beck - Gamma Ray) Album: Modern Guilt, 2008
Bonus: official video! If you're guessing that it looks like an acid trip at Andy Warhol's house... gold star.

This fucking album is sooooo good. It sucks that the there are so many metalheads you just straight up ignore this shit, because it, along with Vallendusk's work, is game changing level stuff.
Honestly, I love metal partly for the great boundary pushing stuff its given us, but more so for its potential, which it has endless amounts of if the people involved would stop reiterating tropes and work in what dynamics a genre like that could allow. Honestly, metalheads, the real purist sort, remind me a lot of die-hard horror movie fans, when they create something, they love recycling tropes and ideas that they found in other movies, but we each use it becomes a bit more deluded until its a muddy and undynamic version of its original incarnation. Either way, dope album, check it if you haven't.
