Orbital! <3
I seen them in 2009 on the banks of Loch Ness. That was a good day, almost came during Phat Planet.
... that aside. I'm listening to
Fires - Band of Skulls.

You actually get to see this shit live. I just get to watch badly shot video of your festivals. Someone mail me to Glastonbury. -B.

I bought dubnobasswitmyheadman immediately afterwords and fell in love with:
Underworld - Dirty Epic

I bought dubnobasswitmyheadman immediately afterwords and fell in love with: Underworld - Dirty Epic Seeing Underworld before I die is on the list of things to do, for sure. Will probably have to cross the pond for that one, but I'll make it eventually. Dubnobass is fucking gospel, btw. Currently listening to Mmm Skyscraper I Love You, actually Won't lie, though- my favorite Underworld album is EASILY Beaucoup Fish. And I love Dirty Epic so much I named a novella after it (Notes From Underwater, Volume One: Dirty Epic). If you ever want to read an unpublished 160ish page story I wrote as my gonzo journalist alter-ego Lucien Hicks, I can hook that up. -B.

JAM OF THE DAY
(Buckethead - Whitewash) Album: Colma, 1998
When you think Buckethead, you think shred/noise metal and crazy Les Claypool and/or Bootsy Collins guest spots; this is quite understandable, as that's pretty much how he do. But much like one of my all-time favorite artists, Beck... Bucket's much less famous for his chill, melodious, relaxing and introspective work than he is for his loud and wacky stuff.
That doesn't mean the chill shit isn't good, by any means... far, far from it. Give this a listen... you may see ol' KFC-bucket-and-Michael-Myers-mask in a new light. (Steal the shit out of this record- it is all so very dope.)
Much love! Has great weekends! -B.
