Year 2086
The black and white film flickered and soon the screen was grainy and then normal as the video began to play. Danny Mandie's son and her grand daughter Sammie were sat on a soft black couch watching the video as Mandie requested. She had a stack of videos she wanted them to see.
“I died a few days ago but I am still lingering here. *Mandie said jokingly and kept on with the joke but was serious.* I dunno why but I am still here just not among the living in the sense of living. I am an apparition in every sense of the word but the big difference is I know I am dead I just don't know why I am here still. I guess this is my punishment for ever sin I committed. I guess he wants me to suffer like I made everyone in my life suffer. I knew this day was coming but I excepted something totally different but now I can't sleep or eat and it bothers me so much. I am tired but I can't do anything about it.
I can see myself in mirrors and I see the big hole in my stomach. God it's a harsh reminder of what I brought unto myself. I wish I could turn back the hands of time and undo all my wrongs but I can't. It's too late for me. I am dead but you're not. You can learn from my mistakes and I hope you do. I hope you learn not to take anything for granted.
I hope you learn not to waste your god given talent on the bottle or drugs. I really hope you listen to the many stories I'll tell you so you can maybe be better then I ever was. I know some people will say it's too late but I don't believe in that. It's never too late. No matter the consequences it's never too late to learn. Even I am still learning. I only wish you the very best in life and that you do great things.
I was destined for greatness and threw it down the shitter for being stupid don't you dare do the samething Sammie. I want you to be better then I was and you will with your Father guiding you. Danny you better not let my grand daughter fail. You better make damn sure she succeeds where I failed. I might be dead but by I can still punish you.”
Mandie coughed a bit as it his was the last video she ever made and it was in the hospital where she was coming in and out at times thus why she mentioned being a ghost. Sammie was five years old and didn't quite grasp what was going on but she was listening. Danny was Mandie's oldest son and he was the one closets to her. He knew his mother meant well and even in death she wouldn't let him down.
He saw a lot in his lifetime. He saw his mom put her body through hell to put food on the table. He saw his mom go through many problems but still through it all she still looked out for himself and David along with Trina their little sister. Whom was late for the video viewing but she was coping with the death of her mother and in denial for the most part.
As they watched the video Trina came into the room and sat down quietly by Danny.
“Well, I guess Trina finally made it.”
They all made weird aces and Mandie slightly laughed.
“ I do know my own daughter and how she is always late for things but she is a good girl and always has been. I am proud of you pumpkin. I hope you do great things and never do what I did. You're better then that. Don't you dare start crying now.”
Trina's eyes were watery as tears rolled down the sides of her face. She missed her mother and how she knew her so well.
“Look I know I wasn't around a lot Trina and for that I am sorry but I did what I needed to put food on the table for the three of you and Danny can attest to that. I am sorry I missed a lot of your life but I am still gonna be around. Everytime you feel something guiding you away from danger or stopping you from doing something stupid that's me. I am always gonna look out for my children. You three kept me going for so long and when you left I failed you. I couldn't cope with reality and went down a dark road but you better not. I don't care if I sound like a hypocrite. You better not do the things I did. I'll know a mother always knows.”
Trina and Danny looked at eachother with smiles as that was something Mandie always said.
Year 2006
Scene fades in on Mandie wearing a red hoodie and some matching sweats as she is suing the speed bag in the gym where she is training. Mandie has her both hands taped up with white tape as she hits the bag hard and fast not missing a beat.
“I am gonna be someone big someday just you wait and see..everyone doubts me but I am gonna blow-up one day....I am gonna take them by the horn and show them...let them doubt me...I can take it because I know what I am gonna be...”
Mandie kept saying this over and over as she hit the bag harder and faster. Her facial expression etching itself into a hardening like young lady. She seemed to have no feelings but the fact of the matter is Mandie had deep feelings. She hated the fact that everyone said she would never be a wrestler. They said all she would be was a stay out home mom. Her own mother said she was surprised Mandie was pregnant already. This drove Mandie to stay on track and not screw up her life. She studied hard in school and trained everyday she could just as hard if not harder.
In school she tried out for sports and even when she was sitting on the bench Mandie was a team player and practiced hard with her teammates. She was on the basketball team and Volleyball team. She also was lifting weights a lot. Right now though this was her time to train for her dream job. Mandie loved wrestling ever since she saw it live a few months back and was really aiming to become a wrestler. She did the backyard wrestling lot for STW and it was amazing to her but she always pictured herself headlining he Garden or selling out the Tokyo Dome those were her dreams and goals. She wanted to see her name in lights and nothing was gonna stop her.
She knew it was gonna be a long road but it was gonna be worth it . She was gonna fulfill her dream no matter the cost. Being stubborn or prideful had it's benefits in someways. As that is what drove her to being the best she could be and more. Mandie wasn't like most girls she was abit different in the sense she was blessed to have the best of both worlds and what I mean is she was strong enough to take hits but had the looks of a model something her mother wanted her to be; but that wasn't for Mandie.
Mandie was the type that loved to get her hands dirty and she was gonna dig them into the mud no matter what people told her. This is why she was at the gym right now instead of at that audition her mother wanted her to go too.
Present Day
[/font]Scene fades in on a cool August morning with the a light breeze passing by causing the trees to sway a bit in the backdrop. The lush green grass that covers the cool earth seems like a sea of never ending green here in this secluded area in Kansas City where the next Overload is gonna take place. The current UCI television Champion can be seen to the right leaning against a Limo the company has rented for her. One of the many perks of being a champion. Wrapped around her is a light blue baby tee that conforms to her upper torso like a second layer of skin. A pair of hip huger jeans sheath her lower torso and flare out at the bottoms to indicate they are boot cut. A pair of black pumps wrap themselves around her feet and to finish off this ensemble the UCI Television title wraps itself snuggly around her sexy slender waist. Her long dark hair is held back by a light blue material head band.
Her full luscious lips are covered by a deep but bright red lipstick as light blue eye-shadow dust her eyelids and a black eyeliner out lines her slightly Almond-shaped big brown eyes. Her heeks are slightly highlighted by a light pink blush. In her right hand she has a bottle water that has a special formula of water she drinks and has special made for herself.
As she leans on the limo in the not to far distance a van can be seen approaching. This is no ordinary van as it's the UCI camera van used to haul around UCI's camera crew. As the van approaches Mandie slowly brings the bottle up to her mouth and extends her lips to the rim as she takes a few swallows of the water and then pulls the bottle down swallowing the water. She smiles as the van stops about five feet from her and the crew comes out. The door of the van slides open and the lead camera man comes out with a camera. Quickly adjusting the buttons. As another comes out with a boom stick microphone and holds it over Mandie's head. Once the lead camera man has everything set he hoists the camera on his right shoulder and with his left hand raises three fingers then two, then one and then none. Mandie sees the blinking red light indicating she is being recorded and licking her full luscious lips she begins to address UCI in general.
“Well good evening UCI faithful and once again I won my match but this time I added a bit of weight in winning and the exact weight is twenty-five pounds of gold that I plan to keep for a very long time. I want to thank Chase Jackson for giving me a good match but he just wasn't good enough. I mean he tried everything? Oh, wait no he didn't because from what I recall I beat you faster then anyone in UCI history has gotten beaten. I pinned you in mere seconds. I showed the world that I came to win and don't play around and the samething is gonna happen with Jayden Thunder this week. He won last week against Night Wolf but honey I am not Night Wolf. I am Mandie freaken wheeler your UCI Television Champion something you strive to wanna be but that's the point. You're a wannabe and never will be. Atleast not while I have the title.
Now don't get me wrong you're good just not that good. You've got a good game plan but I have a better one. You wanna win but I am gonna win. Why? Because I am gonna do whatever it takes to beat you and if that means doing the so-called **Does air quotes** bad thing then I'll do it. See, incase you have been living under a rock Jayden I am not a good girl I am not a bad girl. I am just that girl that's gonna screw up everything you have planned. I am the one that's gonna shatter your dreams and take you to heights you have never been to; only to let you fall. I am gonna rock your world in a way no woman has ever done As I am your wet dream nightmare come true and Jayden you aren't ready for me.”
Mandie half smiles as she has more confidence then she has ever had. She pats the Television title with her left hand.
“You see this right here Jayden? This means more to me then you can imagine and I am not letting it go without a fight. Hell, I might just walk away and lose by count out to retain it or maybe I'll get disqualified? Now why would I say these things? It's as simple as you are. I say these things because as a champion I have the full advantage of walking away with my title while you have to pin me or submit me I have a few options I can use. I could hit the referee and then use something to beat you with ; but that would mean you're a threat and too be honest you're not. You are probably more into the match because you finally get to touch a real woman and the title is secondary to you right; and who can blame you just look at me?”
She does a little twirl for the camera and smiles but that smiles quickly leaves her.
“ Jayden honey you are not ready to face greatness like me. You aren't ready to step into my world and have the spotlight on you because if it somehow would hit you. My spotlight would burn you to the ground. You're not good enough to even be in the same ring as me but it is what it is and that's the way I'll play it. Don't think winning the UCI Television title has given me an ego. No honey I am confident in what I bring to the table and I bring a helluva lot more then you ever could. You beat some guy that believes himself to be a wolf or something like that right? Well I am no wolf. I am not a vampire. I am Mandie Wheeler the woman that's gonna beat your ass from pillar to post and back and show the world why I am the UCI Television Champion and you will always be just a contender.”
Mandie takes a sip of her water as she is slightly parched.
“Listen and listen real good. I am not here to make friends nor enemies. I am here to chew bubble gum and kick ass and I am all out of bubble gum. I am here to make history. I am here to beat people like you up that don't deserve the time or day but hey that's the nature of this business. You get what they put in front of you and right now you're in front of me and I am gonna kick you down. I am gonna show you that I am not just another pretty face and that I will be the face that runs this place. I am no flash in the pan champion like Chase Jackson was. No, I am the real deal and come Overload you're gonna get the full load of who Mandie Wheeler is until then thank god you can still walk because when I am done with you you'll be lucky if you can remember your own name. I will make you tap out!”
Mandie smirks at the camera as the camera man stops recording her and smiles at Mandie whom returns the smile. As the rest of the crew starts putting everything up. Mandie moves away from the Limo a bit and the driver opens the door for her as she slips herself into the limo and the scene fades out with the limo driving away.
