Found yourself in a post-nuclear world, who woul be? What would you be known for doing? What would you be known by? Been playing Fallout 4 and it got me wondering what I'd be in a real world scenario
I'd be a ruins scholar, looking for pre-war history. Not necessarily technology,but tokens of our past. Books, that kind of stuff. Probably would've adopted a name from an author I came across. Poe, or maybe even Jefferson, for old Tj

Well, taking into account my degree, I'd likely focus largely on reclaiming whatever knowledge could be lost from libraries, etcetera, essentially trapping myself in a world no longer relevant and slowly spiraling into madness by desperately clinging to the past.
Taking into account survival skills (and assuming I'm alone, thus removing family/friends from equation) I would likely retreat into the woods and try to establish a basecamp. Depending on the availability of wild food (fish and plants mainly) I may or may not starve to death slowly. I mean if all the food is irradiated, I lack the ability to decontaminate it, I have a black belt but I'm not going to be able to take on supermutated gophers.
Availability of firearms and ammunition will be limited, but I would lean towards minimal confrontation if possible, likely becoming somewhat of a hermit. Gunfire, among other things, attracts people who are interested in gunfire.
Finally, assuming we're talking some kind of "Fallout" situation, I would most likely find a group of people that are not Mad Maxing it up, and we would travel together helping the needy and being just danged harmonious until being killed for dramatic effect by a nude man in a hockey mask. It's really the most likely outcome.

Wait, we're talking Fallout here? Brotherhood. Brotherhood, all day. I would chill out in a bunker all day studying technology and then dress up in power armor and shoot shit with Gatling Lasers. GATLING LASERS. Barring that, I would live amongst the scavengers. Catch me coolin' out in Novac (from New Vegas), raiding the REPCONN Test Site for scrap and taking potshots at the Legion whenever I get bored. I have spent a frightening amount of time thinking about life in the Fallout universe. This is me trying to keep this short because I like you guys  -B. |
