Hello everyone! Backstage interviewer extraordinaire Frank Patrick Venable here with an exciting announcement!
I've already told a few people about this, but some time ago I got the OK from Spencer to continue a tradition started by our own Wentworth Updegraff last year: a special one-night tournament for honor and glory (and possibly other prizes.) It shall be called...THE BATTLE OF NEW ORLEANS (Pro Wrestling Guerrilla fite me.)
Here are the details.
Open sign ups will take place IN THIS THREAD! I was originally going to do qualifying matches on Overload but those plans have changed. If you want to participate in the tournament, say so here! Looking for at least 8 people to participate, but if more people want in I will happily expand the bracket. You have until SUNDAY MAY 7th TO SIGN UP!
After sign-ups, I'll book you guys in a single elimination bracket, and the next week you'll face off in a sort off PPV-ish "special". RP limit will be one, and I'm gonna put a hard cap on 5K words to preserve my sanity. I'll probably have a judge team to help me out.
Everyone is allowed to compete. We will also accept one-off "side character" entries!
There are a few prizes to winning.
1. Bragging rights, of course.
2. A custom title similar to those of the champions, but one that you can't lose no matter what. Think of it as your "trophy" for winning.
3. A title match at Lazarus for either the Intercontinental Title, the Television Title or the Hypermedia Title. The choice is up to you!
Any questions, lemme know! This has potential to be super exciting for everyone involved, so I hope you guys are down to clown!
