Hey there folks...
None of you ever really hear from me that much. I'm just that guy that comes in, posts his rps, and then is never heard from again. (Aside from a few posts here and there). But with that being said I think anyone that reads my roleplays would have to agree with what I am about to say. Right now, I'm suffering and I'm suffering in a big way.
Now, I'll be honest with you. A lot of it is my own fault, in the sense that I really don't have the proper time to be roleplaying. I work heavy hours on the weekend. During the week I am in school and I do student teaching. I'm not as busy as I once was with wrestling, but I do take bookings every now and then. My biggest issue with taking a break or leaving fedding to finish out these next few months. I am afraid I won't be back ever because of how long I've been doing this.
At the same time, it seems like it may need to be an option. I guess my question is to come to you all as a community here in UCI. Despite 95% of you not knowing me or even talking to me to ask what you think. I felt when I came in at first with Mikey Carson. I was doing okay, I started to find my footing. Then I brought in Kingston and then everything went down hill. My roleplays have been shitty. They've been basic. They don't have much to them anymore. I feel like I'm wasting the fed/my opponent's time with putting out piss poor work every week.
I am not gonna pull out of any matches I might have at Beyond, but I do expect to lose if I'm honest. Not only has my work been poor, but the motivation isn't there like it once was. This is a question for what should I do after beyond? Do I quit and give UCI a me freezone? lol. Take a break? Focus on one over the other? Bring in something new? I honestly don't know what to do and I can't seem to figure it out by myself. Thanks in advance for anyone that may have ideas or suggestions for me.

My suggestion (if you're not iffy on associating with us weirdos OOC) is to maybe jump in something like our FB chat? If I'm being honest, a lot of motivation and ideas comes from just chatting and bullshitting with the community on a regular basis. I think no matter what decision you make, it's also a big benefit as embracing this group of weirdos as buds outside of just RPing can also add a positive sort of attachment to the whole thing. No matter what, you're a cool dude and the community loves you.

Like Spencer said, the FB chat is a great resource for ideas. As far as what you want to do with your characters...
If you have to cut one, I'd drop Kingston in favor of Carson, who is the more established character. I wouldn't get rid of Kingston altogether, but maybe put him on the back burner until you have more time to help him develop. Maybe dropping back to one character might respark whatever you feel is lacking at the moment. Worst case, take a temporary break, but don't quit altogether.

Love your character bro and i honestly dug Kingston as soon as you popped up in UCI. Its hard not to gravitate toward the dick who thinks hes bigger than the company and talent.
As a guy who controls multiple characters id suggest blending their universe of sorts. If you want to rest kingston from the ring, keep him on in Carson's rps maybe and have him pissed about Carson's success possibly. Just spit balling here, but you totally add more drama with weaving your characters i think. And we can learn more about Kingston.

I like Bishop's idea..
keep Mikey as a character and use Kingston as a foil for him. Or do it the other way depending on which character you're feeling writing more.

I meant to reply to this days ago...
But again with my hectic schedule, I was only online a few minutes (like two closing shifts back to back nights or tonight, going home for less than 45mins then being called back because they were so busy...) and never got a chance to really do anything. I appreciate the kind words and the suggestions. I think it seems to be fairly obvious what the choice is here. While, I still am deciding if a break is best. There's a good chance Kingston could end up going. Kind of just depends.
As far as interacting with all of you. I don't really do facebook like that. I mean I have one. But it's rare that I check it. Once in a blue moon. So, as great as you people surely are outside the fed. It would just be pointless for me to be added to a group because I'd never be active.
I'm just hoping that before long I'll be able to motivation that I once had. Hoping that I'm able to bounce back from this drought that I am experiencing. I do however appreciate all those that took the time to comment and offer their suggestions.

At the end of the day, I think we'd all say this is your domain as much as anybody else's. Whatever you decide is best is cool with us. No matter what character/characters you do or don't go with, you're part of the family here and we want you to make sure you're doing what's best for you.

I agree with most of what is said here, but I'll chip in my 2 cents anyway.
You need to pick the character that you feel the most connection with. The character that you feel the ideas flowing with the most. If you don't feel that with either character, then you need to start an entirely new character from scratch, but at the same time that's not the greatest idea either since bouncing from character to character can be a bad idea and can make you look unreliable. Doing multiple characters at once is never a great idea. I've done it in the past and there was always that one character that would suffer as a result, but I didn't care. If you can get to that point where you don't care if one suffers and the other one excels, then you can keep doing multiple characters.
Even if you do pick one of the two characters to run with because you feel the most connection and easiest flow with them and you still don't do great, don't just come to the conclusion that you picked the wrong one. Figure out why you're not winning with this guy. Tweak him. When I say tweak him, I don't mean change his gimmick or the character overall, but just small tweaks.
One other thing is heel vs. face. I know nothing about either of your characters, but sometimes the alignment of your character can be a reason why you're doing good or bad. I've written as several face characters who did decently well, but my main character Gravedigger has always been my top character and he has been heel for about 99% of his career.
Another thing about heel vs. face is not only about your ability to write better as one or another, it is also the fact that your character itself may be only good as heel or face, too. You'd think that since you're the writer and you have the control that you could pick either alignment, but to use my Gravedigger character as an example, I don't believe he would EVER work as a face. Heel is in his DNA.
