Our resident former UCI Rising Stars champion is looking not so spectacular this afternoon as he sits inside his luxury home in a ratty t-shirt and pajama bottoms. He had a cold bud light in one hand and the tv remote in the other, and he’s watching WCF Slam. The show seems to be boring him, however, as he appears to be nodding off to sleep.
His eyes shoot back open to a furious rapping on his kitchen door, just in the other room. Sebastian gets to his feet and heads to the kitchen, stopping dead in his tracks as he sees who is outside. A beautiful olive skinned man, wearing a baby blue button down shirt, with red suspenders holding up tan khaki pants. Sebastian knew the man very well, though he hadn’t seen him since college… He would always remember Captain Jack Harkness.
Getting over the initial shock of seeing Jack, he opened up the back door and let him in. Literally speaking, of course. Even with the shock gone, however, the curiosity stood.
“Jack… Not that I’m arguing or not grateful for your presence or anything, but why are you here? I haven’t seen you in twenty years! I’m married now, i’ve got two wonderful girls. Why the hell are you doing this to me?!”
“Sebby, calm down! I haven’t even said anything about why i’m here. Yes, i thought it would be lovely to visit an old flame. But of all of time and space, all of my exes, I chose you, Sebastian Reid. And it isn’t only because i wanted to see you. It’s… listen, do you still have the watch I gave you in college?”
“I’m not stupid, Jack. I know damn well it wasn’t a watch… especially since I played with it once and ended up in 1743….”
“Heh… Oh, same old Sebby. But listen, it’s called a Vortex Manipulator. There’s a lot of stuff I need to tell you, but now is not the time, Okay? DO YOU STILL HAVE IT?”
“Yeah… I’ve kept it in a box underneath my bed. Give me a sec, okay.”
Sebastian goes to run upstairs, then stops at the bottom and looks back to Jack.
“She’s only seventeen. I will murder you where you stand.”
“Good luck with that!” Jack mutters under his breath.
Five minutes pass, and Sebastian comes down the stairs with a jewelry box. He hands it to Jack.
“For me? You shouldn’t have!”
Sebastian rolls his eyes rather obnoxiously.
“Are you ever going to explain why you’ve showed up to my house, and demanded your time-travelling watch back?”
“Well… Sebby, I came back to save you. Doctor willing, your death isn’t a fixed point.”
“Wait.. save me? Death? What the hell are you talking about, Jack?”
“Sebastian…”
Jack looks around, then leans in to whisper to Sebastian.
“This business you run…. It’s going to be invaded soon. By aliens. I know, I know. Pretty generic, but hey, if it wasn’t true, would I be here?”
“Yes, Jack. You would.”
Jack starts to respond, then ponders for a minute.
“Okay, you’ve got a point. But I’m telling the truth, Sebby. Alpha Pro will die.”
“Fine, Jack. What are you planning to do now.”
“I’m not planning anything. WE are planning to do something.”
And with little to no protest, Sebastian aided Jack in coming up with a plan to save his life’s work.
The two travel to the Alpha building in search of the invaders. Luckily, Jack remembered what they looked like in the future, so he would be able to stop them. Sebastian had called an emergency roster meeting, so every athlete in the business were present and accounted for. And no new faces… Jack was concerned. He didn’t spot the aliens anywhere…
“Wait!” Jack says suddenly.
“What?”
“You’re holding try-outs soon, aren’t you?!”
“Yeah… Tomorow.”
“We’ll just head to tomorrow and find them there!”
“You mean travelling through time? I don’t know, Jack. Last time I did that i had a severe migraine for weeks.”
“Oh, C’mon, Sebby. It’ll be fun!”
Sebastian argues a bit more, but he knows Jack well enough to know that resistance is futile. Jack had a certain charm to him that could make anybody do anything he wanted.
“Fine!”
“Good! Now put your hand on my waist.”
“Does it have to be your waist?”
“No, but i would love it.”
Jack winks at Sebastian. Sebastian follows Jack’s command, then Jack fiddles with the Vortex Manipulator on his wrist. Bippity Boppity Bam!

“Where are we, Jack?”
The scenery around them is, well, very green. That’s not South Carolina.
“Dammit... “
Jack fiddles with the device again, then grabs Sebastian’s shoulder and their off again. This time, they land in the Alpha Pro building, materializing right in front of several hopeful, now confused recruits. Jack and Sebastian stand awkwardly, looking at the crowd of people before them. Sebastian finally speaks.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the tryouts for Alpha Pro Wrestling. I’m Sebastian Reid, and I founded-”
He is interrupted by Jack clearing his throat, so obviously to catch Sebastian’s attention. Sebastian walks back to the attractive former time agent.
“What, Jack?!” Sebastian whispers.
Without speaking, Jack points out two men. One blond haired, wearing a Pink Floyd tee, and the other a ginger wearing a WCF Authentic “The Brotherhood Cometh” tee.
“It’s those guys?”
Jack simply shakes his head.
Sebastian thinks for a minute, then approaches the crowd once more.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m afraid something has come up, and I must postpone this tryout. Alpha will be sure to reimburse you for your fuel.”
In a cloud of moaning and groaning, the recruits all get up to leave. Sebastian taps the two boys on the shoulders and punches them both in the face, knocking them out long enough for Jack and Sebastian both to tie them up.
“Jack’s gone now. He left me, once again. And, this time? I have no regrets. The difference between now, and twenty years ago is I have more goinig for me. When I met him, i hadn’t gotten my money. I was going to school on scholarship and everything. But now, I’m a successful businessman. I’m a successful professional wrestler. Former Rising Stars champ, in my first night! I’d say i’m pretty well off now.”
Sebastian smirks, his pearly whites peeking through his slightly parted lips.
“I finally got a chance to look at the card for tomorrow night. And let me tell ya, I was shocked. I haven’t won a match since since the Overload before Civil War. So to find myself opposite Bonnie Blue, for her intercontinental championship? In the main event of the very first Overload of 2017, no less? I’m honoured.
“Bonnie Blue. The Daughter of Time. Lemme tell you, that time had to have had some good genes, because Bonnie’s a beautiful southern Belle. That is just exemplified by her work ethic and her ruthless aggression. Bonnie, you managed to do something I couldn’t. You took out Stevie Corah. However, I don’t think it’s been any secret that I’ve been off my game recently, ever since I lost my belt. I’ve been thinking about that a lot, actually. Maybe a belt around my waist is the exact balance I need.”
Sebastian’s smirk turns from sly to dastardly as his words flow. His eyes bead down onto the camera from behind his shades.
“I’ve been paying attention to you, Ms. Blue. You’re hardcore if hardcore was physical. And you don’t rely on your guardian family. I can respect that. But there is, indeed, a difference between the two of us, Bonnie. And that the sheer fact that I have nothing to lose here. I could win or lose here, and it wouldn’t matter. I’d still be Sebastian Reid. But you? Well, you are your gold, Ms. Blue. Who is Bonnie Blue without a belt around her waist? I’ll be the first to admit, she’s still one of the best damn athletes around. It’s all in your head, Bonnie. The dependence. The need for the title. The lust for being a star. It builds in your head, and leads you to do things like risk your own friend’s son, simply to win a piece f fake gold, superglued to a leather strap. Was it warranted? Hell yeah, but it wasn’t right, Bonnie. There’s a reason that lust is one of the seven deadly sins, Bonnie.”
Sebastian chuckles, the sound echoing off of the camera.
“Don’t get me wrong, Bonnie. I’m forever grateful you’re around. I would’ve never beat Stevie Corah fairly, and I’ll admit that. When it came around again, my moral conscience would have been dead. But.. I realize now that that doesn’t matter. It’s this opportunity that showed me that I will do whatever it takes to win another belt in the UCI. And for that I thank you. Keep my belt warm for me, Darlin’. And Enjoy it while you can.”
Sebastian winks to the camera, before shutting it off.
